The tongue and groove boards make excellent walls
The nesting boxes with window above
Nice shady spot
Gary got the back wall on the roost area and the nesting boxes to the right are well underway.
He also got some vent holes drilled at the top.
He has worked so hard on this project, he has even amazed himself with the outcome so far.
We do what we like, like what we do. We have Black stars, Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rock hens. Scout and Molly out back and Cricket inside keep guard along with Tux the cat. Our home is our haven and we love our hobbies!

Coop Progress as of April 7th 2012
Floor of the roost is in place and I have began to put the hardware cloth up around the run.
I found where carpenter bees had drilled a couple of holes into the back facing. Going to have to figure out what to do to keep them from making to many holes.
As we add boards the structure is getting to be very stable. It would take a lot to bring this one down. I have used a large box of deck screws and had to buy a 2nd one today.
Penny has gone through a full gallon of stain and we have to buy the 2nd gallon today.
